Nicholas Mac Gregor Garcia
Lecturer and Professor at NUS

Nicholas Mac Gregor Garcia

He is a lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS) where he teaches and develops the curriculum for fintech, blockchain, and AI governance and ethics. He is also the Co-Director of NUS Fintech lab where he fosters collaborations between industry and academia to nurture a knowledge ecosystem. He has a Ph.D in Philosophy from NYU Stern, a Master's in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University and BS in Chemical Engineering from Berkeley.

Niall Roche
CTO, Founding Partner, Professor at UCL

Niall Roche

A CTO-in-residence at UCL School of Management and a founding partner of The Building Blocks, former Lead Technologist for Innovation Entrepreneurship at UCL Engineering. With a background as a Software Engineer, CTO, and consultant for startups, he teaches the IMB programme and M.Sc. in Business Analytics at UCL. Niall is involved with the UCL Institute for Communications and Connected Systems, works on EU projects focused on 5G innovation, and has advised the UK government on related topics. He also delivers workshops on the UCL Blockchain Executive Education course run in conjunction with UCL CBT.

Michael Stewart
Professor and Lead Innovator at UCL

Michael Stewart

Leads transformative projects at UCL, using documentary and ethnographic film to enhance the relationship between UCL and the London community since 2008. He founded Open City Docs Fest, London’s Global Documentary Festival, and created the MyStreet collaborative anthropology site to broaden access and engagement. He raised £0.75 million to support this project. Michael organised the RAI’s 2011 Anthropological Film Festival at UCL and received an AHRC collaborative training award in 2013. Earlier, he had been the SHS Vice-Dean of Enterprise at UCL, pioneering new digital education initiatives.

Giuseppe Destefanis
Associate Professor at Brunel University London

Giuseppe Destefanis

An Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Brunel University London, with a PhD from the University of Cagliari and both MEng and BE degrees from the University of Pisa. Before joining Brunel, Giuseppe was a Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. He has been a postdoctoral researcher at Brunel and the Computer Research Institute of Montreal, where he collaborated with the aerospace industry. His research focuses on mining software repositories, empirical software engineering, Agile methodologies, software metrics, and Blockchain technologies.

Prabhu Rajagopal
Associate Professor and Avisor at IIT Madras

Prabhu Rajagopal

An Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty in charge, Advisor and an Associate of the Centre for Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) at IIT Madras. He earned a Dual Degree from IIT Madras in 2003 and a PhD in Ultrasonic NDE from Imperial College London in 2007. As a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Imperial, he developed advanced computational tools for weld qualification on a Rolls-Royce funded project. Dr. Rajagopal is a Principal or Co-Investigator on multiple sponsored projects and has contributed to over 100 technical articles. He also serves on the editorial board of the ISNT Journal of NDE and actively engages with industry.

Prior to joining UCL, he was a Research Associate in the Centre for Risk Studies, University of Cambridge, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Santa Fe Institute (Santa Fe, US). Fabio holds a PhD in Statistical Physics from the International School for Advanced Studies (Trieste, Italy).

Alastair Moore

Alastair Moore

Founding Partner of The Building Blocks, Co-Founder of Fractal, Mentor and Entrepreneur. A UCL PhD computer scientist with a decade of experience in AI/ML, UX design, marketplaces, mobile and early-stage tech innovation. He was part of the founding teams of UCL spin-out Satalia.com and Wearepopup.com. At UCL, he helped create The Mobile Academy and co-founded the IDEALondon innovation centre in collaboration with Cisco and DC Thomson. Alastair has also mentored at various startup accelerators like Techstars London and Startupbootcamp IoT. Currently, his work focuses on innovation and scale-up support programmes, particularly in areas like 5G, Big Data, and smart cities.

Lukasz Szpruch

A Professor at the School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh, and the Programme Director for Finance and Economics at The Alan Turing Institute, the UK's National Institute for Data Science and AI. At Turing, he leads academic partnerships with organisations like the National Office for Statistics, Accenture, and HSBC. He is the Principal Investigator of the FAIR research programme, focused on responsible AI adoption in financial services, and a co-Investigator at the UK Centre for Greening Finance & Investment (CGFI). Lukasz is also affiliated with the Oxford-Man Institute for Quantitative Finance. His research interests include quantitative finance, machine learning, and multiagent reinforcement learning in Web3.

Kathy Yuan

Professor of Finance at LSE, she received her Ph.D. in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her academic research focuses on developing macro-finance and asset pricing theories with liquidity implications in environments with information and market frictions and testing their empirical implications. She is currently working on liquidity and financial stability in bank and non-bank financial institutions including DeFi, and developing applied theories of (digital) money and public liquidity.
